Create a game brief

Once you have your concept has been developed and begins to take shape. At this stage it is helpful to capture your idea in an understandable written form, this is where a game brief comes in. A game brief is created by answering some specific questions about your game concept. Below is a great example of a game brief template. Fill this out with the details about your concept.

Big Creative Idea:

Game Mechanics What is the desired skill or quality this game wishes to cultivate?

What is the goal of the player?

What are the obstacles for the player to overcome?

What are the tools the player can use to accomplish his goal?

How does the game provide feedback?

Why is it fun?
